Muslim Education Trust
Muslim Education Trust is a voluntary educational organization. it was established in 1989 to Work for the betterment of the minorities in the field of education. Since its inception, the MET is on the march with absolute dedication to bring about a social and educational change in the present condition by Awarding scholarships to the needy students in pursuit of their higher professional education. In its efforts the MET has received active support from IDB, Jeddah. The main objectives of the Trust are us under:

To work for the advancement of education, science, technology and management particularly in the realm of the higher education. |

To grant Scholarships / Loan Scholarships to deserving students for pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate studies and research in the field of Medicine, Engineering, Science and Technology, Management, Commerce and Humanities. |

To run and manage schemes of financial assistance, to organize coaching and remedial classes. |
The MET has undertaken the following programmes:
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME
The MET Scholarship programme provides financial assistance to needy and meritorious students at the rate of Rs. 1000.00 per month for pursuing professional studies at graduate and post graduate levels starting from the year of selection till the completion of the course. The Scholarship programme commenced in 1994 and within 11 years the MET has awarded scholarships to 354 students in various disciplines incurring the expenditure of an aggregate amount of Rs. 63,45,500/= on the programme. 248 students have so far completed their graduation under the scholarship programme. Scholarships for computer education have also been awarded to 44 students with an expenditure of an aggregate amount of Rs. 2,75,000/=
SCIENCE TALENT SEARCH PROGRAMME STSP
Along with supporting students in pursuit of higher education, the MET has designed and introduced a scheme of the Science Talent Search from the academic year 2003-2004 with a view to identify talent of the students at the completion of their high school education and then nurture by way of providing scholarships from senior secondary till the acquisition of highest level of education. The objective of this programme is to produce scholars of higher calibre in the emerging branches of Pure Science and Technology.
Short-listed students having extraordinary talent are invited from all over India for a Written Test.
Under this programme selected students purely on the basis of All India merit are given a scholarship of Rs. 500/= per month for two years of their 10 2 education in science stream. The MET under this programme has awarded scholarships to 136 students selecting 38 students in the year 2003-2004. 50 in the year 2004-2005 and 48 in the academic year 2005-2006.
OPENING SCHOOLS
MET under its programme of promotion and expansion of education has assisted in setting up following 6 schools in the Slum areas of Delhi with a view to provide facility of basic education to the children of Jhuggi dwellers and the weaker sections of the society.

MET DEGREE COLLEGE PROJECT
Plans are in advanced stage to start a college as a centre of excellence for Higher studies in Sciences and humanities. A suitable plot of land has been purchased at Aligarh for this purpose. It is expected to start functioning from 2007-2008 session.
The application for affiliation to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University (formerly Agra University) is in process.
The college will impart 3/4 years Bachelor degree educational programmes having the following streams:
