Chairman's Remark

It give a nostalgic feeling to recall the time when the student Islamic trust was established in 1980.during those day, the India society  was passing through a historical transition, a transition leading to formation of a real vibrant democracy from a proclaimed one. the message was clear everyone must have  an active role in the nation bulding.it was a unique realization of the time that even after more than three decades of independence a number of weaker sections ,such as details ,women ,minorities marginalized communities ,rural people, etc .were far from the central stage of development and progress. The regional parities were also pronounced.

Mr. Amanullah Khan
Founder Chairman

The turn of situation during the late seventies and early eighities of the preceding century has shown that the real India was awakening from a deep slumber and people were getting more and more concerned about their right and obligations toward the nation. The Muslim community was no expectation to this. The leadership of the community has simultaneously passed through a transition to experience a new polarization of social forces and a sea change in priorities and strategies to revive the community for playing a constructive role in the country. The welcome sign of that era was the emergence of creative and constructive leadership among the Muslim youth. It is humbly submitted that the founding trustees of the SIT comprise one of that brand of young activists.
Another reminiscence of the time was that it was beyond the imagination of the founder that the organization would progress by leaps and bounds. It was a humble effort to sow a sapling amidst a favorable atmosphere. However, it flourished and have carved a distinct niche among similar organization in the country within a short span time. It seems that it was heavenly planned to accept feeble prayers of a small group of youth to grow into a baniyan tree spreading its benefits everywhere in the country. there can be no denial that the fervent and trust contribute a lot in this regards.  It is also a fact that the team received patronage of both eminent personalities and leading funding agencies within and outside the country, which made it possible to realise the envisaged schemes of the trust a spectacular pace.
One strange aspect of human beings is that when one dream is realized another dream dawns on the horizon of human vision. Obviously, the stock of events in the past twenty five years gives us a pleasing satisfaction. However , this jubilant impression hardly sustain for long when a number of future dreams call for a fresh commitment to march on the avowed mission of the trust. The constant and sustained growth of the  SIT in the past demands even more committed work in future.
The future demands from us three things: the unwavering commitment to serve the humanity at  large, the creative and innovative thinking to tackle complexities of future and the last but not the least the constancy of endeavors on the envisaged path. Thus, the cumulative effect of the commitment, creativity and constant provides us the golden formula to future move towards achieving the enshrined objectives of the trust. For this reason it is required that our community and its youth should revive the faith, confidence and morale of high degree, whereby future opportunities could be taped and harnessed in such a way that we could be bestowed with our rightful place among nations and communities comprising the global neighborhood.
Obviously, the SIT must blow this spirit into the hearts and minds of youth so that they could play their future role well. The present feeling of pessimism, waywardness and adhocism must give vent to long term planning, constructive role and guided efforts. Whatever contributed the SIT gas made so for in shaping career and creativity of thousand of students and youth could be used as asset for future programmes and activities. And, by no standard this asset could be considered small. Perhaps the only challenge before us is to enhance and multiply our own efforts keeping in view the future needs of mankind in general and its weaker segments in particular. It is difficult but essential to upkeep the pace and quality of achievements, which are envisioned as the future goals.

We pray to God, the merciful the benevolent, to provide us with enough strength and unfailing zeal to keep on the long march ahead.
